Visiting Mykonos and Myconian Collection hotels

I have recently returned from the beautiful island of Mykonos.. Less than a 4 hour flight from the U.K and easily accessible from all airports.

I was privileged to stay at one of The Myconian Collections luxurious hotels Myconian O…A modern sanctuary to unwind and relax…

I entered the hidden oasis to be met with white washed facades, style and class..I couldn’t wait to experience.

The rooms were beautifully designed, large open plan suites with marble and stone interiors all neutral in colour and ultra stylish. Suites are available offering extra space and generous sized private pools.

The day and night time hub of the hotel centres around the O Restaurant and O Bar and these sit around an inviting pool offering a trendy vibes.

Dine indoors or on the outside terrace for a plentiful buffet breakfast, fresh fruits and pastries or let the hotel prepare a breakfast to suit you. Lunch and Dinner on offer , the menu is a creative take on Mediterranean classics, infused with regional flavours. A live DJ will take you through to the evening whilst enjoying a fine wine or cocktails.

As you walk through the bar and restaurant the hotel opens up onto the stunning Ornos Beach , the hotel has a private area for guests with comfy beds for a lazy day in the sun, and stunning views out into the sea.

You can venture out of the hotel and find numerous bars and restaurants along Ornos beach and experience Greek way of life! Mykonos town is only a 10minute drive away where you have even more choice of day and evening activities.

Over the next 2 days we visited each of the properties within the Myconian Collection located in different areas of Mykonos.

I got to experience a real insight to these luxury hotels. Each hotel retains its own distinctive personality, a range of facilities and entertainment options, the collection has something for all clients.

The collection pride themselves in wellbeing and the Spa facilities they offer are fantastic, therapeutic pools, steam rooms, exclusive products and treatments by expert therapists await.

Mykonos is a small Island and very easy to travel around and visit other resorts. You have to experience a day in Mykonos Town, a pedestrianized maze of narrow streets with cubic whitewashed houses and shops bars and restaurants hidden away. I recommend a visit to 180 Sunset bar for a meal or aperitif offering stunning romantic sunset views.

I took a trip to Delos, which is a 40minute boat ride from Mykonos Town. A Unesco World Heritage site Delos was once a thriving Greek city but forgotten after it was burnt away, now researchers have excavated over the years and it gives a wonderful insight to the ancient Greek world. I recommend visiting at the end of the day around 5pm as the sight can take 2 hours to walk around so it is perfect when the sun goes down.

Top tips I would advice

– Mykonos is busy in the summer months so always pre-book any restaurants and beach clubs you may want to visit whilst there. Our Concierge Service can assist with recommendations and take care of this in advance so you will not be disappointed on arrival.

– If you prefer a beach to relaxing around the pool, choose the area of Elia. This area is renowned for the longest beach of fine sand and crystal waters, an abundance of water sports and restaurants

– The Utopia Relais & Châteaux, trend-setting Avaton, luxurious Myconian Villa Collection, as well as the Imperial and Royal resorts, offer a private beach section with sunbeds and umbrellas for their guests, as well as a beach bar service for beverages, smoothies and snacks.

I had a wonderful luxury experience on the island of Mykonos, and experienced great hospitality and all of the Myconian Collection Resorts…

Let me help plan your unforgettable holiday to the Island.
