Saint-Émilion is a charming medieval village located in the heart of the famous Bordeaux wine region. A very unique destination and steeped in history, the village boasts world-class vineyards, fine wine, beautiful architecture and stunning monuments.
Mont Rochelle, Cape Town
Mont Rochelle is located just an hour’s drive from the city in the suburban town of Franschhoek. Often referred to as the French Corner of the Western Cape Provence, this vineyard town is considered to be the food and wine capital of South Africa.
Situated in the heart of the Champagne region is Reims – the city of kings – where for more than 1,000 years, French monarchs were crowned at its Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims. This grand landmark is known for its stained-glass windows and Gothic carved portals, including the Smiling Angel.
The Domaine Les Crayeres
Named after and set above these caverns, is Le Domaine Les Crayères – a hotel and estate for which 5 stars could have been invented. And, lying just a couple of hours from Calais, it positively begs to be explored and enjoyed. Set in seven hectares of splendid grounds, this is a temple to elegance, good taste, and the art de vivre.
Foodie Heaven, Deià, Mallorca
With all due respect to Robert Louis Stevenson, to travel hopefully isn’t always a better thing than to arrive. Not when, at your destination, there’s duck breast with beluga lentils waiting for you. Or lobster with green asparagus ravioli. Or a millefeuille of Cuban chocolate with spiced bread. All this and much more is the signature of Deia, a magical gastronomic village on the north west coast of the island of Mallorca.
