Whilst I was on holiday in Dubai last week, I had the pleasure of visiting Atlantis The Royal while I was in town. It is simply a WOW hotel and definitely the pinnacle of hotels in Dubai.

The whole property is based on sophistication and elegance with 8 celebrity chef restaurants on site with a huge range of food styles from a 50’s diner with a juke box to Heston Blumenthal serving a tasting menu or a small dish with every drink.

There is a guest only swimming pool in the sky meaning total exclusivity and privacy as well as other options for relaxation including a state of the art gym and spa.  There are a variety of rooms ranging from glamorous entry level to the sublime suites including with private pools to suit a range of budgets.  If you have a Club room the Club lounge is very large and well stocked with food all day and drinks in the evening.

The rooms on the Palm side have wonderful views of all of Dubai or you can have the complete tranquillity of the sea view looking out to Persian Gulf.  Every room has a large walk in shower, double vanity, free standing bath, walk in wardrobe and toiletries designed by Graff or Hermes in the suites. But all rooms are extremely spacious with crisp modern lines and terraces with fantastic views.

The hotel is designed to be a place to get away from it all and with the many restaurants and boutiques on site, you don’t need to leave, but equally you can be in central Dubai in 20 minutes.

This is a place for you to be a fashionista or a rock star but equally the rooms and packages are priced at an affordable level too and you can access the same facilities. It really was for me the hotel of my dreams.
