What an amazing experience I have just had at the amazing One&Only Portonovi..

I flew into Tivat Montenegro Airport which is a scenic 50 minute car journey, or you have the option to fly into Dubrovnik Croatia which is 90 minutes away. Whichever you choose you get a chance to take in the amazing scenery.

Upon arrival I was met with refreshing cool towels and a glass of Champagne by the attentive staff, I knew I had arrived.

The resort is set in 60 acres sprawling beautiful grounds resplendent at the entrance of Boka Bay, a fjord-like idyll on Montenegro’s Adriatic Sea.

I entered my Portonovi room and was taken aback at how spacious and bright our modern palatial room was, offering refreshing outdoor space looking out onto fabulous gardens.

You can choose from Suites and Villas with pools if you are travelling with your extended family.

There are three fabulous restaurants to choose to dine in and a residents bar offering outstanding choices of drinks and food. I can highly recommend the Tapansake restaurant a mix of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine located on the Adriatic waterfront, scrumptious food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Chenot Espace is the calming spa giving resort guests complimentary access to an indoor pool, steam room, sauna and a relaxation pavilion. Here you have a wellness programme tailormade for you and to take advantage of their many treatments.

One&Only has its own private beach to have relaxing days or the hotel can arrange excursions around the Adriatic Coast to the Montenegrin countryside, or take to the waters and hire a boat.

You are a few minutes’ walk from Portonovi Marina offering exceptional amenities and services including a beach club, bars, restaurants, galleries, shops and more.

Getting around is very easy, we took a trip to Herceg Novi, a small quaint town only a 10 minutes drive from Portonovi. You also have the towns of Kotor Bay 30 minutes away which is a stunning area. This other-worldly Adriatic bay is dazzling on another level. Marvel at the terracotta towns, gaze at the glorious surroundings and breathe in the beauty of this Montenegro masterpiece.

My stay at One&Only Portonovi was Pure Luxury and I will return in a heartbeat…
